Overview
Kitchen Team Leader or experienced Kitchen Team Member seeking to progress.
The role focuses on supporting, coaching and mentoring the kitchen team, maintaining high food knowledge and safety standards, and contributing to the brigade’s success at Slug and Lettuce.
Responsibilities
- Assist in food preparation and collaborate with the Kitchen Manager to produce high-quality dishes consistently to specification.
- Oversee and supervise the kitchen team in the absence of the Kitchen Manager.
- Assist with stock management, ordering and control of supplies.
- Maintain an excellent, clean and hygienic kitchen environment at all times.
- Offer suggestions and creative ideas to improve kitchen performance and efficiency.
- Lead the team to achieve company targets.
Qualifications and requirements
- Ability to assist in leadership, coaching and mentoring of the team.
- High standard of food knowledge and skill.
- Up-to-date COSHH, Food Safety, Health & Safety and legal knowledge.
- Willingness to develop personally and help advance the brigade.
