We’re looking for a skilled Kitchen Manager or Kitchen Team Leader to lead kitchen operations in the George Staples hotel. This leadership role focuses on maintaining high standards, supporting, and developing the kitchen team.
Responsibilities
- Support, coach, and mentor the kitchen team to maintain high standards of food and service.
- Apply a high standard of food knowledge and keep current with COSHH, food safety, health and safety, and relevant legal requirements.
- Hire and onboard new team members in an inclusive and welcoming manner.
- Lead, guide, and develop the kitchen team, ensuring access to ongoing training and growth opportunities.
- Maintain kitchen hygiene and food safety, creating a safe and organised workspace for all.
- Manage the kitchen schedule to ensure efficient staffing while meeting labour targets.
- Conduct regular stock checks to manage costs and meet performance goals.
- Take a proactive approach to increasing sales and driving growth by fostering strong relationships between the kitchen and front‑of‑house teams.
