At Slug And Lettuce, we are looking for a Kitchen Porter to assist our kitchen team. No experience is needed – we’ll provide all the training required to help you build the essential skills for this role.

Responsibilities

  • Perform general daily cleaning of kitchen surfaces and floors.
  • Maintain cleanliness of food storage areas and ensure all cleaning schedules are kept up to date and signed off when completed.
  • Wash and sanitize plates, cutlery and kitchen utensils.
  • Remove kitchen waste from containers and dispose of it properly.
  • Clean and maintain cooking equipment such as cookers and grills.
  • Support the Chef with basic food preparation tasks, for example peeling and cutting fruit and vegetables.
  • Demonstrate a great eye for detail to maintain high standards.
  • Be organized and possess excellent time‑keeping skills.
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment for guests and colleagues.
