The Opportunity

We are looking for an experienced Regional Manager, covering Bath to Bournemouth and surrounding areas. You will support a number of publicans and their businesses within the Core L&T Division. The key objectives of this role are to produce and implement a quality, robust strategic plan for your region, which is designed to increase ‘whole pub profit’ for each pub, benefiting publican profitability and regional like for like income. To achieve growth, it is essential to recruit and develop capable, well-funded publicans while maintaining high property standards across all leased and tenanted pubs. This commitment to quality supports excellent retailing and protects asset value.

Continual enhancement of retailing standards is accomplished by offering business advice, facilitating regular reviews, and providing opportunities for skills development. Clear and compliant meeting minutes are produced for all business reviews, ensuring consistent standards and alignment with the Pubs Code. The company upholds the legal and behavioural requirements of the Pubs Code, treating publicans fairly and supporting them in fulfilling their business plans and delivering high retail standards and customer experiences. Regular reviews of business performance help identify opportunities for improvement, with actionable plans created for both parties. A challenging but respectful approach is adopted towards publicans who do not fully exploit commercial opportunities, encouraging them to maximise their potential. Effective collaboration with Pub Support Centre functions and key suppliers is maintained to achieve procurement objectives and operational goals, ensuring all partnerships contribute to the overall success of the business.

Skills & Experience:

  • Must be able to drive and stay overnight as needed
  • Experienced Multi-Unit Leader with proven results
  • Strong leadership aligned with company values
  • Proactive, self-motivated, and highly organised
  • Focuses on guest experience and sets high standards
  • Effective time and relationship management; influences and supports Publicans
  • Makes informed decisions using data analysis
  • Adapts well to change and leads others through transitions
  • Communicates confidently with strong negotiation skills
  • Handles conflicts and difficult conversations effectively
  • Demonstrates business acumen in delivering efficiencies
  • Committed to ongoing personal and professional growth
