Warehouse Section Leader

Role: Warehouse Section Leader Salary: £28,000 – £32,000 Location: Lacock, Wiltshire Working Hours: 10.00am – 10.00pm, 4on4off We are seeking a Warehouse Section Leader Overseeing the efficient operation of the warehouse, ensuring the accurate receipt, storage, and dispatch of goods while maintaining high standards of productivity, safety, and quality. This role involves leading a team, coordinating daily activities, and ensuring compliance with company procedures and industry regulations. The Section Leader plays a key role in optimizing warehouse operations, minimising waste, and supporting the supply chain to meet customer demands effectively. About Stonegate Farmers Ltd Stonegate Farmers Ltd is an integrated free range and organic egg business organised across three divisions comprising farming and agriculture, egg packing and cooked egg processing. Established in 1926 and under new ownership since 2016, we have grown into one the largest free-range and organic egg producers within the UK. Role & Responsibilities: * Oversee day-to-day warehouse operations to ensure efficient storage, packing and dispatch of goods * Monitor inventory levels, conduct regular stock checks, and ensure accurate record-keeping * Ensure timely and accurate order picking, packing, and dispatch to meet customer expectation * Work closely with production and logistics teams to coordinate deliveries and minimize delays * Address and resolve any warehouse-related issues affecting customer satisfaction. * Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices to enhance efficiency * Supervise and coordinate warehouse staff, ensuring tasks are completed effectively and on time * Support in the coaching and development of Team Leaders * Support the implementation of new systems and technology to improve warehouse operations. * Ensure all warehouse operations comply with health and safety regulations, including HACCP and food safety standards. Person Specification: * Able to display our company values: Respect, Aspire, Courage, One Team & Diversity * Strong leadership and team management skills * Excellent organisational and problem-solving abilities. * Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, to coordinate with teams and stakeholders. * Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities efficiently. * Competency in using warehouse management systems (WMS) and Microsoft Office. * Attention to detail to ensure accuracy in dispatch, stock control, and order fulfilment. * Commitment to maintaining high standards of health & safety and food hygiene. * Proactive, results-driven, and committed to continuous improvement Qualifications / Experience: * Previous experience in a warehouse, logistics, or dispatch leadership role (Essential). * Experience within the food production, FMCG, or agricultural sector (Desirable). * Understanding of Food Safety standards * Knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory management, and stock control processes. * Experience leading and motivating a team in a fast-paced environment. * Understanding of health & safety regulations (HACCP, GMP)
