Working Hours: 4 on4 off – (06.00am – 18.00pm / 18.00pm – 06.00am) Stonegate Farmers Ltd has an exciting opportunity for a Maintenance Engineer to join our Engineering team at the Egg Innovation Centre (EIC), our state-of-the‑art cooked egg processing facility. Reporting to the Engineering Manager, you will play a vital role in ensuring the reliability, efficiency and performance of our production equipment. Working in a fast‑paced food manufacturing environment, you will be responsible for carrying out both planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance activities across a wide range of machinery and processing equipment. About Stonegate Farmers Ltd Stonegate Farmers Ltd is an integrated free range and organic egg business organised across three divisions comprising farming and agriculture, egg packing and cooked egg processing. Established in 1926 and under new ownership since 2016, we have grown into one the largest free‑range and organic egg producers within the UK. As a Maintenance Engineer, you will: Carry out planned preventative maintenance activities in line with maintenance schedules and engineering priorities. Respond quickly and effectively to equipment breakdowns, identifying faults and implementing corrective actions to minimise disruption to production. Diagnose mechanical, electrical and control system faults using a methodical approach. Ensure all repairs are completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard. Conduct routine inspections of machinery and equipment to identify potential issues before they impact production. Support the installation, commissioning and improvement of new and existing equipment. Proactively identify opportunities to improve machinery reliability, performance and operational efficiency. Assist in root cause analysis investigations and implement corrective actions to prevent recurring issues. Support engineering and production teams with continuous improvement projects aimed at reducing downtime and increasing productivity. Contribute ideas and solutions that help drive cost savings, improve performance and enhance operational effectiveness. Complete all maintenance documentation accurately and in a timely manner. Ensure maintenance records, fault logs and PPM documentation are maintained to company standards. Work in accordance with Health
