Business Analyst - Stonegate Company Ltd in Solihull

This role requires travel to our Head Office in Monkspath, near Solihull, every two weeks. To apply for this role, you must live within a reasonable commute of Solihull in the West Midlands.

PURPOSE OF THE JOB

The Business Analyst role exists to bridge the gap between the business and technology, ensuring that change delivered through the IT & Digital Transformation team is clearly defined, understood and aligned to business needs. Business Analysts translate operational challenges and opportunities into well-structured requirements that support effective solution design and delivery. Working across business and IT initiatives, Business Analysts define scope, capture and manage requirements end-to-end, and collaborate closely with stakeholders, delivery teams and third-party suppliers. Through strong analysis, clear communication and ongoing support through delivery, the role helps ensure that digital change delivers value for Stonegate.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Support the definition of project requirements, scope and deliverables across multiple initiatives.
• Capture, analyse and document business requirements and create end-to-end process models (As-Is / To-Be).
• Conduct peer reviews with wider BA team.
• Support User Acceptance Testing and develop supporting user documentation for solution deployment.
• Work with both Waterfall and Agile project methodologies.

Stakeholder Engagement

• Build and maintain strong partnerships with internal stakeholders across the business.
• Work collaboratively with 3rd-party suppliers, ensuring clear communication of requirements and effective delivery.
• Represent the BA function in meetings, workshops and project forums.

SKILLS, EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS

Essential

• A minimum of two years’ experience within a Business Analyst role.
• Understanding of project lifecycle / delivery processes.
• Experience supporting UAT, documentation, and solution delivery.
• Confidence in data mapping and facilitating process modelling workshops.
• Good stakeholder management and communication skills, able to adapt communication style for different audiences.
• Experience working with both Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
• Strong organisational skills and self-sufficiency, with a proactive approach to delivery.

Desirable

• Experience in retail or hospitality environments.
• Awareness of ITIL and TOGAF principles.
• Degree-level education or equivalent professional experience.
