THIS ROLE IS BASED IN THE ACADEMY IN BIRMINGHAM
PURPOSE OF THE JOB
Responsible for coordinating the planning, logistics and delivery support of learning and development activities across the business. Working across the L&D team, the role ensures learning initiatives are effectively planned, communicated and implemented. This coordination role is specifically responsible for our Academy location, ensuring it offers a welcoming experience for colleagues and other guests and operates safely and efficiently.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Key Responsibilities:
Learning Coordination
• Maintain a strong understanding of the learning, development and careers offer and use this to respond to learning queries appropriately.
• Coordinate learning logistics, including scheduling, venues, materials, communications and accommodation.
• Maintain clear communication with learners, line managers, facilitators and stakeholders on learning activity and progression.
• Coordinate learning-related processes with internal departments and external suppliers.
• Administer learning technology and support any system updates.
• Process purchase orders and invoices, maintaining accurate budget tracking records.
• Work collaboratively across L&D to support learning delivery, projects and continuous improvement.
• Adapt plans to meet changing business needs and ensure learning investment is approved and cost-effective.
• Understand the work of the other Learning Coordinators and provide cover when needed.
• Role models self-development, proactively taking opportunities to develop their own capabilities
• Proactively stays up to date on Stonegate's mission, pillars and values
Academy Coordination
• Ensure the Academy operates safely and efficiently in full compliance with current Public Health England guidelines, including active risk tracking procedures.
• Prepare and maintain the Academy to a high standard, including daily cleaning routines, maintaining an organised approach to stock and supplies, ensuring the Academy is well-equipped with stationery and essential equipment.
• Provide a welcoming and professional point of contact for all Academy visitors
• Take responsibility for timely reporting of technology, equipment or site maintenance issues within the Academy via the appropriate system, ensuring timely escalation and resolution to minimise disruption to colleagues and operations.
• Act as a designated Fire Marshal and trained first aider, having completed relevant training, with responsibility for supporting the safety and wellbeing of all colleagues and visitors in the event of an emergency.
SKILLS, EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS
• Experience in a similar role where you demonstrated excellent communication, organisation skills and attention to detail
• Able to work to deadlines across multiple workstreams with experience of successfully working as part of a team, supporting others to achieve team objectives
• Embraces technology, motivated by learning new things and finding ways to improve effectiveness or efficiency
• Responds constructively to change and adapts to changing priorities or needs
