This is a 3‑month fixed‑term role with real influence, working closely with senior leaders, advisers, lenders and insurers to ensure our products deliver fair value and support excellent customer outcomes.

About the Role

As our Senior Product Governance Manager, you’ll take ownership of the design, implementation and execution of our Product Oversight & Governance Framework across mortgage and insurance propositions. You’ll lead on fair value assessments, distribution oversight, provider governance and the development of structured, repeatable processes that stand up to regulatory scrutiny.

You’ll act as the primary relationship manager for lenders and insurers, ensuring strong governance arrangements, clear communication and well‑evidenced decision‑making. You’ll also support strategic initiatives that require product governance expertise, helping the business maintain high standards of conduct, compliance and customer care.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Product governance & oversight
    • Designing, implementing and maintaining a comprehensive Product Oversight & Governance Framework
    • Establishing formal product approval processes and governance structures
    • Creating and maintaining complete product inventories
    • Reviewing, approving and documenting product changes from lenders and insurers
    • Ensuring all governance activity aligns with Consumer Duty and PROD 4 requirements
  • Fair value & product assessments
    • Developing and maintaining fair value assessment methodologies
    • Reviewing product governance documentation from providers
    • Producing and maintaining fair value assessments in line with regulatory expectations
    • Presenting assessments for governance review and approval
    • Embedding periodic review cycles and ensuring they are consistently followed
    • Developing and documenting a formal Product Distribution Strategy
    • Running regular distribution reviews and assessing effectiveness
    • Ensuring alignment with target market requirements
    • Monitoring distribution outcomes and identifying areas for improvement
  • Provider relationship management
    • Acting as the principal contact for lenders, insurers and product providers
    • Strengthening provider relationships and communication processes
    • Managing structured handovers and continuity arrangements
    • Ensuring governance expectations are clearly understood and consistently met
  • Management information & consumer outcomes
    • Enhancing MI and reporting frameworks
    • Developing metrics to monitor fair value, distribution effectiveness, consumer outcomes and emerging risks
    • Designing product performance dashboards that support informed decision‑making
  • Product expertise & business support
    • Providing subject matter expertise to advisers, business development teams and internal stakeholders
    • Enhancing product guides, training materials and provider communications
    • Supporting strategic projects requiring product governance insight
  • Change management & operational governance
    • Mapping and documenting end‑to‑end processes for onboarding, amending and removing providers
    • Coordinating with operational, finance, compliance and technology teams
    • Ensuring clear accountability for product setup, commission arrangements and provider changes
  • Vulnerable customer strategy
    • Reviewing current arrangements against industry best practice
    • Leading initiatives to strengthen identification and support of vulnerable customers
    • Developing governance and monitoring frameworks to assess outcomes
