Stonebridge Mortgage Solutions Ltd is growing, and we're looking for aMid LevelSoftware Engineer, hybrid working(3 days office based and 2 days working from home)to help drive the continued development of our innovativeRevolution cloud-based platformand other business-critical applications.

You'llplayan important rolewithin our Agile development team, designing, developing, and enhancing software that supports over 1,400 advisers across the UK. Working closely with developers, testers, support teams, and stakeholders,you'llhelp deliver scalable, high-quality solutions that make a real difference to our users.

Key Responsibilities

Develop, enhance, andmaintainfeatures across our Revolution platform and other internal applications.

Translate business and technical requirements into clean, efficient, and maintainable code.

Participate in technical design discussions, helping to shape scalable and high-performing solutions.

Collaborate with developers, testers, support teams, and business stakeholders throughout the software development lifecycle.

Conduct code reviews and contribute tomaintaininghigh coding standards, security, and best practices.

Analysetechnical challenges and work with the wider team to deliver effective solutions.

Identifyand help resolve performance bottlenecks to ensure an excellent user experience.

Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve software defects and application issues.

Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across development processes and practices.

Participate in Agile ceremonies including stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives, and design workshops.

Create andmaintainclear technical documentation.

Keep up to date with emerging technologies and share knowledge with colleagues across the team.

Develop a strong understanding of our systems and support colleagues and users whererequired.

Solidcommercial experience(normally3 years+)as a Software Engineer using Microsoft technologies.

Strong experience with.NET, .NET Core, C#, MVC, WebForms, Entity Framework, and modern development practices.

Experience withVB.Netwould be beneficial.

Exposure toBlazorand/orTelerikwould beadvantageous.

Experience developing andmaintainingweb-based applications.

Good understanding of source control systems such asGit, including branching and merging strategies.

Strong SQL skills, with experience writing efficient andoptimisedqueries.

Experience working within anAgile development environment.

Knowledge of unit testing frameworks such asMSTest,NUnit, orxUnit.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.

Excellent communication skills, with the ability to discuss technical concepts clearly with colleagues and stakeholders.

Collaborative and proactive, with a genuine passion for technology and continuous learning.

Able to meet pre-employment screening requirements (right to work, DBS, credit checks, etc.).
