About the role…
We are excited to be recruiting for an Accounts Assistant/Vehicle Administrator. This is an unrivalled opportunity to join one of the UK\’s fastest growing motor groups.
As an Accounts Assistant/Vehicle Administrator, you will report to the Branch Accountant and will be responsible for the daily processing of key accounts functions such as cash, bank, purchase ledger and sales ledger.
You will be a valued team member working within one of our fast paced dealerships with a keen eye for detail. You will be able to demonstrate previous experience of working within an accounts department and provide the highest level of accuracy, all whilst contributing towards making Stoneacre the Number One Motor Group

An average day as an Accounts Assistant/Vehicle Administrator…
- Reconciling daily banking and bank statements.
- Purchase Ledger maintenance – processing invoices to correct nominal codes, reconciling supplier statements and setting up monthly BACS payment runs.
- Creating and processing a variety of payments using online banking system.
- Processing customer refunds through the PDQ machine.
- Credit control – sending statements, chasing debtors including vehicle debt. Producing a weekly debtor report.
- Processing Warranty Self Billing Invoices.
- Processing Finance Commission statements.
- Petty cash control and monthly reconciliation.
- Processing manufacturer bonus Self Billing Invoices and credit notes.
- Supporting the sales department in daily controls.
- Working alongside Accounts/Service and parts.
- Support the smooth running of the Sales Office.
- Stock checks.
- Processing purchase and sales of new, used and fleet cars.
- Taxing and Invoicing vehicles.
- Monitor funding systems for new and used vehicles.
About you…
- The ideal candidate will be reliable and conscientious with Accounts experience.
- Keen to learn, there will be opportunities for the right candidate to progress into more in depth balance sheet reconciliations.
- Experience within the motor industry would be advantageous including the use of Kerridge system. However full training will be provided.
- Strong attention to detail and a team player.
- Good IT Skills, particularly MS Office including Excel.
