About the role…
We are excited to be recruiting for an IT Field Engineer Technician This is an unrivalled opportunity to join one of the UK’s fastest growing motor groups.
Stoneacre continues to expand at a rapid rate due to continued success, with new areas of growth creating key recruitment opportunities within the company. We are currently recruiting for a highly motivated individual with a proven track record in IT infrastructure support to work as an IT Infrastructure Technician. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years previous IT Field Engineering 1st/2nd Line Support experience. Regular visits to all 60+ locations across the UK will be required.
As an IT Field Engineer, reporting to the IT Field Engineering Team Manager, you will be joining a team that is responsible for the deployment, upgrading and maintenance of the company’s core IT systems. Working with the Field Engineering Team Manager, you will help to identify appropriate strategic solutions, whilst ensuring security aspects are always considered. You will also support the IT Service Desk as an escalation point for all infrastructure disciplines.
This is an excellent opportunity for the successful candidate to gain valuable skills and experience to further their career within IT. You will be joining at a time where you have the opportunity to be instrumental in delivering a vision for the improvement of IT core systems and practices of the whole business.

- You will have Knowledge and experience in IT systems
- You will have knowledge of security principles and best practices.
- Be able to Manage and contribute to technical documentation.
- Have the ability to focus on quick solutions and prioritise workloads.
- Be willing to attend training as necessary to keep up to date with the latest technology and internal system processes.
- Have the ability to work as part of a team and independently.
You will also be able to demonstrate the following Technical Skills…
Have essential knowledge of:
- Microsoft Office 365
- Hardware Fault Finding on PC / Laptop and Tablets
Preferred working knowledge of:
- Cloud hosted services and applications, Office 365 and Azure
- Knowledge of ITIL Service Operations processes and best practices
