An average day as a Business Manager:

  • Maximising the profitable sales of finance and insurance products.
  • Assisting in the closing of vehicle sales by providing finance products as an aid to selling.
  • Securing finance business using providers approved by Your Dealership Ltd.
  • Ensuring Your Dealership Ltd.'s F & I policies are followed by all staff when using finance and insurance products.
  • Keeping Sales Management, General Management and other front line sales staff abreast of developments in the finance and insurance market.
  • Enhancing the reputation of Your Dealership Ltd. at every opportunity when interacting with others.
  • Helping to develop the dealership's marketing plan by using expertise to provide suggestions involving finance and insurance products.
  • Participating in the planning and marketing of special events and other marketing initiatives.
  • Ensuring that every vehicle is displayed with a finance example, prepared in accordance with the requirements of the Trading Standards Authorities.
  • Facilitating the process whereby every customer is quoted a monthly payment as well as a vehicle price.
  • Maintaining an organised approach and method in all administrative and clerical functions.
  • Ensuring that all paperwork within the department is completed accurately, completely and within timescales set.
  • Ensuring that all finance quotations and other documentation are prepared within required timescales.
  • Following up and chasing outstanding paperwork to avoid delays and penalties.
  • Reporting as required by Dealer Principal, General and other Managers, including the timely completion of all weekly/monthly reports and returns.

About you:

  • Have up-to-date knowledge and relevant experience gained within the finance and insurance industry.
  • Have the ability to build good customer relationships and negotiate profitable transactions.
  • Have the ability to mentor and develop others while being regarded as a member of a team.
  • Be able to develop contacts within the F & I industry.
  • Have an understanding of the legal, tax and fiscal implications of Finance and Insurance.
