Stone Ridge Technology is the team behind ECHELON, the world's fastest and most scalable GPU-accelerated reservoir simulator. We are looking for an exceptional reservoir simulation engineer (all seniority levels will be considered) to join our growing EMEA team and help customers push the frontier of high-performance subsurface modeling.
About the Role
You will work at the intersection of reservoir simulation, customer success, and cutting-edge computational science. In this role, you will support customers with reservoir simulation projects, troubleshoot technical issues, implement workflows, deliver technical training, and drive software evaluations and technical sales. You will also collaborate with a world-class technical team to keep furthering ECHELON and its ecosystem. This is a unique opportunity for a reservoir simulation engineer who wants to work for a small, growing company in a cross-disciplinary, high-ownership role.
What You'll Do
- Provide frontline technical support for customer workflows, including troubleshooting software and model-related issues.
- Deliver technical training.
- Drive software evaluation projects by preparing technical materials, demonstrations, benchmark cases, and workflow examples.
- Support customers with reservoir simulation projects.
- Engage directly with clients across the EMEA region by presenting results, running technical workshops, and identifying new use cases.
- Act as a bridge between customers and the software development team, translating user feedback into product improvements and workflow enhancements.
- Travel as needed for client support, training, software evaluations, and industry events.
What We're Looking For
- Strong quantitative skills in fields such as engineering, physics, applied mathematics or computer science (demonstrated through academic degrees or other achievements).
- All levels of seniority will be considered (expectations and compensation commensurate with seniority); 2+ years of professional hands-on reservoir simulation experience using commercial reservoir simulation software is desired.
- Strong Python skills and comfort working in both Windows and Linux operating environments.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex technical findings clearly to technical and business audiences.
- Fluency in English is required; working proficiency in additional languages is a plus.
- A self-motivated, independent person who can work with little supervision and take initiative.
Why Join Us
You'll be part of a small, highly skilled team that is genuinely changing how reservoir simulation is done, not incrementally but by orders of magnitude. You'll have direct impact, work with some of the sharpest minds in the field, and operate in a collaborative environment where technical excellence is celebrated.
