The opportunity
Due to the success in the specialist area of international succession and probate, an opportunity has arisen for a Partner to lead Stone King’s International & Cross-Border (‘ICB ’) team.
The successful candidate will be ambitious and will need to have experience leading and/or managing teams and have some cross-border planning and probate experience. An ideal candidate will have worked in a specialist cross-border environment, but candidates who do not have this background will be provided with training. Business development skills are an essential attribute.
The successful candidate will be a self-motivated individual. They will advise and lead the team on cross-border planning and succession, tax and probate. The successful candidate will relish the opportunity to become a specialist within a team that focuses exclusively on cross-border work and is able to advise on the private international law (conflicts of law) of almost every jurisdiction of the world!

Key responsibilities
Your general duties will include all management, leadership and fee-earning functions including business development. This will include an external and internal focus.
Detailed responsibilities can be discussed at interview.
- The ideal candidate will have extensive experience working as a solicitor within a specialist cross-border team, but if not, candidates must have extensive trusts and estates experience, and reasonable experience dealing with cross-border matters. Cross-border training and Stone King ICB systems training will be provided.
- Experience of supervision and development of other team members is essential.
- Previous experience of pro-active business development and marketing; ability to demonstrate generation of new revenue streams and be able to promote the firm and cross-sell other specialisms internally and externally.
- Candidates should be well-organised, technically proficient and a leader.
