The opportunity to join Stone King’s highly respected Trusts and Estates team, offering the chance to work on a broad range of estate planning, trust administration and tax matters for a diverse client base. As a Solicitor within our Estate Planning, Trust and Tax teams, you will play an important role in helping clients protect their wealth, plan for the future and ensure the effective management of trusts for generations to come.

You’ll play a key role in supporting clients, trustees and beneficiaries, gaining exposure to a varied and rewarding caseload while working alongside highly experienced specialists. This role also offers the opportunity to work with vulnerable beneficiaries and families with additional support needs, making a meaningful difference through the advice and guidance you provide.

What You’ll Be Doing
  • Supporting the Trust and Tax team with the day-to-day management of the firm's trust caseload.
  • Drafting wills, trust documentation and other estate planning arrangements.
  • Preparing and reviewing trust accounts and related documentation.
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with trustees and beneficiaries.
  • Supporting vulnerable beneficiaries and clients with additional support needs, delivering advice with empathy and professionalism.
  • Managing your own caseload proactively, with supervision where appropriate.
  • Attending client meetings in the office, remotely or at clients' homes where required.
  • Working collaboratively with colleagues across the Trusts and Estates team and wider firm.
  • Delivering clear and practical advice while maintaining the highest standards of client care.
  • Keeping up to date with developments in trust, tax and estate planning law.
  • Contributing to business development activities, client events and team initiatives.
What We’re Looking For
  • A qualified Solicitor with experience in estate planning and trust administration or trust management.
  • Confidence managing straightforward matters with minimal supervision while knowing when to seek guidance on more complex issues.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities effectively.
  • High attention to detail and commitment to delivering exceptional client service.
  • A proactive approach and enthusiasm for taking on responsibility and developing your expertise.
  • Experience working with legal technology and case management systems.
  • A collaborative, client-focused and solutions-driven mindset.
Desirable Experience
  • Experience working with vulnerable beneficiaries or matters involving the Mental Capacity Act.
  • STEP membership, including student membership.
  • Experience advising trustees and assisting with complex trust administration matters.
  • Knowledge of personal tax and estate planning issues.
