The Role: Wholesale Area Manager UK
At Stone Island, we are always looking for people who share our spirit and values to drive our company forward. We are currently looking for a Wholesale Area Manager UK based in London. Reporting to the Head of Wholesale Northern Europe, the candidate will be managing our UK region to support sales growth and market control, developing new and existing business and maintaining key relationships across wholesale accounts (Buyers, Department Stores and E-Tailers) in line with the company’s positioning and country characteristics.
The Day-To-Day Wholesale Business:
- Preparing own Data Base with all important Customer
- Preparing Sales Campaign with Order-Appointments, Budget per customer (Excel including also LY per customer and Reorder statistics)
- Manage sales campaign 2 times a year in our Milan Show-room: manage and drive clients with the support of seasonal sellers to reach sales targets
- Orders entry and transmission
- Analyzing sell-in figures and preparing After Sales Report with clear and detailed information from the specific country and local areas
- Collecting and analyzing product information relating to the specifics of the country and forwarding this information to the company
- Regular Staff Trainings about the product and communication to the retailers about general strategy/ philosophy and future plans of the brand and company
- Regular and frequent market visits in order to ensure assortment and presentation at retail represents the brand as best as possible, monitor the clients’ image and development
- Monitoring the development of competitor brands, clients, potential customers
- Pushing and Controlling Re-Order business
Marketing Activities:
- Identify proactively opportunities for Marketing activities in order to impact business at door level
- Using given tools and sources individually for the specific market (special window projects etc.)
- Organisation of shipments/ logistics (Returns/Marketing projects like special windows/ pop up etc.)
- Evaluate different Marketing requests presented by customers/ community, industry etc. and present matching ones to Marketing Dept.
Customer service:
- Liaise with Headquarters regarding customer service issues, Return /Reclamation Management
- Control of all orders before and after order confirmation
- Support HQ in shipments control, in administration and EDI issues
This position requires, in a normal context, to be flexible for spending yearly between 8 to 10 weeks in Milan during the different selling campaigns and availability for travelling frequently in the area.
Key Qualifications:
- Around 5 years of Wholesale experience within a Designer, Contemporary or Luxury leading brand
- Solid product knowledge and understanding of our brand positioning
