Role Description
The Night Manager is a part-time, on-site role based at Stone House Hotel in Stone, Staffordshire.
This role oversees hotel operations during night hours, including supervising front desk activities, managing guest check-ins and check-outs, and responding to guest inquiries or issues.
The Night Manager ensures safety and security procedures are followed, monitors the premises, and coordinates with housekeeping and maintenance for any overnight needs.
The role also includes managing nightly reports, cash handling, basic auditing, and preparing the hotel for the following day’s operations.
The Night Manager works closely with other departments to maintain high service standards and a calm, professional atmosphere throughout the night.
Qualifications
- Experience in hotel or hospitality operations, including front desk supervision and guest services.
- Strong customer service and communication skills, with the ability to handle guest concerns professionally and calmly.
- Basic administrative and numeracy skills for nightly reporting, cash handling, and audit tasks.
- Ability to manage safety and security procedures, including incident response and building checks.
- Proven ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and make sound decisions during night shifts.
- Previous experience in a night manager or supervisory role in hospitality is an advantage.
- Flexibility to work night and weekend shifts as required, with reliable transportation to the hotel.
- Knowledge of hotel management or reservation systems is beneficial.
