The successful candidate will be responsible for visiting customers, identifying opportunities, presenting machinery solutions, preparing quotations and working with the wider Stone and Glass Group team to deliver successful sales projects.
This is not a simple catalogue sales role.
It requires someone who can understand customer requirements, ask the right questions, build relationships and work with technical teams and suppliers to provide the right solution.

- Support machinery demonstrations, factory visits and customer meetings.
- Attend trade shows, open days and supplier events where required.
- Keep CRM and internal systems updated with sales activity and customer information.
- Work closely with the service, spares and installation teams to ensure customer expectations are clear.
- Help develop sales opportunities for both distributed machinery brands and Stone and Glass Group manufactured products.
- Report on pipeline, opportunities and market feedback.
Skills & Experience
- Previous sales experience, ideally in machinery, engineering, manufacturing, glass, stone or a related technical industry.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
- Confident visiting customers and discussing commercial opportunities.
- Ability to understand technical products and customer production requirements.
- Experience preparing quotations and negotiating sales.
- Self-motivated and able to manage your own diary.
- Comfortable travelling regularly across the UK and Ireland.
- Commercially aware with a professional approach.
- Good organisation and follow-up skills.
- Full UK driving licence required.
- What We Are Looking For
We are looking for someone who is hungry to sell, but also understands that machinery sales are built on trust, knowledge and long-term relationships.
The right person will be confident, practical and professional.
They will be comfortable walking around a factory, speaking to production teams, understanding customer problems and turning those conversations into real machinery opportunities.
Experience in the glass or stone industry would be a strong advantage, but we would also consider someone from a machinery, manufacturing, engineering or technical sales background who is willing to learn the industry.
