You will be responsible for generating and converting enquiries, supporting tender processes, and ensuring the safe, efficient, and profitable delivery of secured MEICA schemes.
There’s never been a more exciting time to join us. With increasing investment in water, wastewater, and environmental infrastructure, we’re growing fast - and we’re looking for passionate people to grow with us.
What you'll be doing:
- You will be responsible for establishing and growing Stonbury’s MEICA capability across our existing framework agreements.
- Lead and develop MEICA opportunities and build strong senior-level relationships across the water sector to position Stonbury as a trusted partner.
- Agree a MEICA Business Plan (BP) for approval, adopt, adhere to and maintain the BP thereafter.
- Generate and qualify enquiries to maintain a healthy pipeline aligned with Stonbury’s strategy, representing the business at meetings, reviews, forums, and industry events.
- Provide leadership with insight on market trends, competitor activity, framework opportunities, and emerging technologies (e.g. ICA/SCADA, low-carbon and energy-efficient solutions).
- Lead or support all elements of MEICA tenders: scoping, methodology, programmes, risk registers, value engineering and buildability.
- Support pre-qualification and framework bid submissions, ensuring Stonbury’s MEICA experience, accreditations and innovation are clearly evidenced.
- Utilise specialist MEICA experience to oversee the delivery of MEICA elements on projects typically ranging from £100k–£5m, integrating with existing civils and refurbishment teams.
- Ensure projects are delivered safely, to programme, within budget and to required quality and regulatory standards (including WIMES, BS EN standards and water company specifications).
- Line-manage MEICA team members as they are recruited; provide clear direction, coaching, performance management and succession planning.
- Manage relationships with MEICA suppliers and subcontractors, ensuring capability, capacity and commercial competitiveness.
- Ensure all MEICA works comply with CDM 2015, relevant electrical and machinery regulations, water industry standards and Stonbury’s certifications.
- Produce accurate and timely reports on MEICA pipeline, bid activity, project performance, risks and opportunities for internal stakeholders.
Who we're looking for:
- Extensive experience in managing and delivering MEICA projects in the water sector.
- Proven ability to develop client relationships and win work: generating opportunities, leading bids and converting tenders/frameworks into profitable projects.
- Appropriate Level 5 qualification or IEng registration.
- Demonstrable experience leading multidisciplinary teams (internal and supply chain) to safely deliver complex MEICA schemes on time and within budget.
- Experience of pre-construction processes: defining scope, supporting tenders, building programmes, and identifying delivery risks and opportunities.
- Strong understanding of health, safety and environmental requirements for MEICA works, including RAMS, CPPs, temporary works and safe isolation procedures.
- Excellent communication, influencing and stakeholder-management skills at all levels, both internally and externally.
- Full, UK driving licence.
What we're offering:
- Up to £73k plus a company car or car allowance.
- 6% company pension contribution.
- Life Assurance.
- Income protection.
- Benifex Platform - including the Technology Scheme, Dental Plan, and the Bike Scheme.
- You will receive 24 days’ paid holiday per annum, rising to 25 after two years’ service.
- Options to buy five extra days using the Holiday Scheme.
