We are hiring a Civils Site Supervisor to work on clean water projects.

Travel and overnight stays will be part of the role.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee day-to-day site operations, ensuring civil engineering projects are executed safely, efficiently, and to required quality standards.
  • Utilise specialist civils experience to assist with and supervise the delivery of complex civils schemes valued between £100k and £5m.
  • Ensure the site team adheres to the company’s working procedures and all health and safety, quality, environmental, and conduct requirements.
  • Supervise and coordinate daily site operations, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.
  • Report all Health, Safety, and Environmental incidents to the relevant management personnel immediately.
  • Maintain a safe and tidy working environment, ensuring the team wears full PPE at all times.
  • Report changes on site to management in a timely manner, including client instruction changes and changes to the working environment.
  • Deliver site inductions, toolbox talks, and safety bulletins, ensuring all personnel receive necessary information consistently throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Lead all aspects of health, safety, and welfare on site, including risk assessments, method statements, and construction phase plans.
  • Take responsibility for the safe keeping of machinery and materials on projects, ensuring equipment is off‑hired in a timely fashion.

Qualifications

  • Valid CSCS card.
  • SSSTS/SMSTS certification.
  • Experience operating or managing plant operators (e.g., excavator, 10 ton plus, dumper).
  • Experience in the installation and management of temporary works and holding a temporary works supervisor qualification.
  • Experience issuing site‑based permits (e.g., dig permits).
  • Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces safely, following relevant training.
  • Strong safety awareness and ability to operate safely in high‑risk environments.
  • Full driving licence.
