We are currently recruiting a SSSTS Site Supervisor to work on clean water sites in the Llandudno area. Salary: £17.33 per hour with opportunities for price work. We specialise in sustainable water asset management solutions, delivering exceptional value outcomes in potable water, wastewater and the environment.
Reporting to the Project Manager, you will be responsible for delivering works, predominantly on clean water sites to a high standard and in a timely manner. Travel and overnighters will be part of the job.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and assist with the preparation of sites, including unloading and suitable storage of building materials and plant.
- Review, during site set up day, all documentation and ensure working methods have been agreed, are appropriate and safe.
- Ensure the whole team has the correct personal protective equipment required for the project.
- Report all defects in tools, plant, equipment and materials before start of project where possible.
- Manage the delegation of tasks within the team to provide the most efficient plan to complete the project(s).
- Liaise with the Project/ Site Coordinator to ensure all project requirements are running to schedule.
- Ensure appropriate use of the welfare facilities by the team.
- Maintain a safe and tidy working environment including wearing full PPE, at all times.
- Deliver Site Inductions, Tool box talks, safety bulletins, etc.
- Take responsibility for the safe keeping of machinery and materials on given projects including ensuring equipment is off hired in a timely fashion.
- Understand Project/ Site Coordinators, Project Manager reports and forecasts on a regular basis, to keep up to date with progress and manpower on projects.
You will have:
- CSCS Blue card or willingness to obtain.
- EUSR Water Hygiene Card or willingness to obtain.
- Certificate in Confined Spaces or willingness to obtain.
- SSSTS or willingness to obtain.
- Experience of working on-site, in a supervisory capacity.
- Ability to work well leading a small team, as well as work alone and use own initiative to solve problems and complete daily tasks.
- Be self-motivated and have the ability to complete daily tasks with minimum supervision.
- Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces safely, following relevant training.
- Ability to act on initiative, particularly in respect to Health & Safety and report relevant matters.
- Willingness to travel and work away from home, as and when required.
