What youully be doing
- Travel and overnights stay will be part of the role
- You will be responsible, in a working supervisory capacity, for overseeing day-to-day site operations.
- You will ensure civil engineering projects are executed safely, efficiently, and to the required quality standards.
- Utilise specialist civils experience and capability to assist with and supervise the delivery of complex civils schemes between the value of £100k-£5m.
- Ensure the site team adheres to the companys working procedures through all stages of the project lifecycle including health and safety, quality, environmental, and conduct requirements.
- Supervise and coordinate daily site operations, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.
- Report all Health, Safety, and Environmental accidents and issues to the relevant management personnel immediately.
- Maintain a safe and tidy working environment including ensuring the team wears full PPE at all times.
- Report changes on site to management in a timely manner, including client instruction, changes to the working environment, and changes to health and safety matters.
- Deliver site inductions, toolbox talks, safety bulletins, etc., ensuring all personnel receive necessary and relevant information consistently throughout the project lifecycle.
- Lead on all aspects of health, safety and welfare on site, including risk assessments, method statements, and construction phase plans.
- Take responsibility for the safe keeping of machinery and materials on given projects, including ensuring equipment is off-hired in a timely fashion.
Who were looking for
- Demonstrable experience in small to medium size civil projects, inclusive of groundworks, formwork, concrete works, footpaths, structures, excavations inclusive of shoring.
- Hold a valid CSCS card
- SSSTS/SMSTS
- Plant operator for excavator, 10 ton and above would be preferable, dumper.
- Experienced in the installation and management of temporary works and hold a temporary works supervisor qualification.
- Experience in operating plant and managing plant operators.
- Experience of issuing site-based permits (eg to dig etc…)
- Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces safely, following relevant training.
- Skilled in operating safely in high-risk environment
- Possess a full driving licence
