We are recruiting for a People Business Partner to join our People team. You will have a visible presence across sites and offices, providing advice, coaching, and challenge to managers.

What you'll be doing
- You will be accountable for driving key people performance indicators, promoting a positive culture, resolving issues through early intervention, and enabling managers to confidently lead their teams in line with company values, policies and employment legislation.
- Partner with operational leaders across multiple regions, and where required subsidiary businesses within the Group, providing commercially focused people support.
- Build strong working relationships with managers, acting as a trusted advisor whilst constructively influencing decision-making and promoting best practice people management.
- Drive proactive early intervention to resolve people issues before they escalate into formal employee relations matters.
- Manage a varied employee relations caseload, ensuring fair, consistent and legally compliant outcomes.
- Develop and implement regional action plans to deliver key People KPIs, including but not limited to: Employee retention, Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI), Absence management, Probation success rates, Development discussion completion and Conduct and employee relations measures.
- Support managers to improve leadership capability through coaching, guidance and management development initiatives.
- Lead employee engagement activities, analysing feedback and developing action plans to improve engagement and employee experience.
- Support reward, recognition and employee benefits initiatives to enhance attraction and retention.
- Work collaboratively with Recruitment, Talent, Training, Payroll, SHWEQ and other support functions to deliver integrated people solutions.
- Support the delivery of training programmes, including facilitating monthly sessions within the Stonbury Academy and presenting at operational stand-down days.
- Facilitate Occupational Health processes, including safety critical medicals, health surveillance programmes and management referrals.
- Undertake own administration where required, including preparing letters, reports, meeting notes, communications and maintaining accurate People records, supported by a People Administration colleague.
- Support the Head of People with functional planning and strategic initiatives.
Who we’re looking for
- CIPD Level 5 qualification or above (Level 7 desirable), or equivalent professional experience.
- Experience in a People Business Partner or Senior HR Advisor role within a fast-paced operational environment. Or ready to embrace the challenge and take the step up.
- Strong working knowledge of UK employment legislation and employee relations.
- Experience partnering with operational management teams across multiple locations.
- Proven ability to influence, coach and challenge managers to achieve positive people outcomes.
- Experience managing high-volume employee relations casework.
- Strong commercial awareness with the ability to balance business objectives and employee wellbeing.
- Experience using people data and KPIs to identify trends and develop measurable action plans.
- Excellent communication, facilitation and presentation skills.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise competing demands.
- Confident using HR systems and Microsoft Office applications.
- Full UK driving licence with willingness to travel extensively across operational locations.
