The Head of Finance plays a pivotal role in the financial management, control, and reporting of the School. Reporting to the Bursar and working closely with the Chief Financial Officer and the Head, this role leads the school’s finance function to ensure that the School’s finances are well managed, transparent, and compliant. The post holder will provide accurate and timely financial information to support effective decision-making and strategic planning across the School.
Stonar is an independent, co-educational day and boarding school for pupils aged 2 to 18, which was rated excellent by ISI in October 2018 for both pupil achievement and personal development. Our pupils regularly achieve outstanding results, which are beyond expectations both academically and personally. We pride ourselves on our ability to nurture the learning needs of every individual in a respectful, supportive and globally-minded community. All staff are expected to proactively support the aims of the School. Stonar is situated in over 90 acres of beautiful Wiltshire countryside, yet only a 20 minute drive from the World Heritage City of Bath and within easy reach of the M4 corridor. The School benefits from being part of Globeducate, a forward-thinking international group of over 60 schools worldwide, giving pupils and staff the opportunity to be an active part of a globally-minded community.
- Full time, year round.
- Holiday: 25 days’ holiday plus Bank Holidays (to be taken during school holidays)
- Office hours: Normal office hours are between Monday to Friday, 08:30 to 17:00 with a one-hour unpaid lunch break
- Lunch is available when the school kitchen is open
