Dovehaven Care Homes is hiring caring and reliable Care Assistants to join the team at Argyle Park Care Home in Southport. This is an onsite position with flexible day or night shifts available to suit different lifestyles and availability. The role is ideal for people who enjoy helping others, working as part of a supportive team, and making a positive difference every day. Whether you prefer the busy atmosphere of daytime care or the quieter environment of night shifts, you will receive the training and support needed to succeed. Successful applicants will provide high-quality care, promote residents’ independence, and help create a safe, welcoming, and respectful environment. Night Care Assistants will also assist with light cleaning duties around the care home.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide personal care with dignity, respect, and compassion.
- Support the emotional wellbeing of residents.
- Encourage residents to remain as independent as possible.
- Assist residents with daily living activities.
- Work closely with colleagues to maintain a safe and comfortable environment.
- Follow care plans and workplace procedures.
- Report any concerns about residents’ wellbeing.
- Complete light cleaning duties during night shifts.
- Build positive relationships with residents, families, and team members.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Caring, compassionate, and dependable personality.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work independently, especially during night shifts.
- Flexible to work on a rota, including every other weekend.
- Enhanced DBS check required.
- Willingness to learn and complete training.
- Previous care experience is helpful but not essential if you have the right attitude.
