Join us as an Operator. As an Operator, your role is ensuring the efficient operation of our terminal facilities. You will engage in activities related to truck loading, working on the jetty, stock control through manual tank dipping, operation of heavy machinery like Forklift Trucks (subject to license), and performing tank entries in confined spaces. Your role extends to operating the terminal’s automation systems, responding to emergencies, and maintaining housekeeping standards, all under the supervision and direction of line management.
As an Operator at Stolthaven Dagenham, your daily tasks will include loading and unloading trucks and moving the liquid to storage tanks. You will measure and take samples from the tanks to ensure everything is correct.
Key Responsibilities- Load and discharge trucks into shore tanks following terminal stock systems.
- Manually gauge and sample shore tanks.
- Assist senior operators with line routing and flexible hose rigging operations.
- Operate and control the jetty as required.
- Perform housekeeping duties.
- Assist with tank cleaning.
- Minimum of 5 GCSEs is required.
- Preferably 1-2 years of experience in process operations.
- Good ability to work as part of a team.
- Proficiency in using computer applications is required due to operational needs.
