As SHEQ Supervisor, you will play a role in ensuring the safety and quality standards at the Stolthaven Dagenham terminal. You will actively promote safety within the field, oversee the proper implementation of SHEQ policies, and support a culture of continuous improvement concerning safety, health, environment, and quality attention points. You will be responsible for organizing compliance training primarily for the Operations Department, to ensure adherence to the terminal’s Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
Key Responsibilities:
- Authority to halt work deemed unsafe and verify compliance with procedures.
- Investigate incidents and communicate findings.
- Assist Compliance Manager with policy updates.
- Process SHEQ orders on Oracle, managing stock levels.
- Manage Permit to Work processes and conduct site inductions.
- Arrange calibration of safety equipment.
- Facilitate communication of SHE-Q policies across management.
- Prepare site safety performance reports.
Qualifications:
- Minimum BSc in Occupational Health & Safety professional qualification (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH).
- Professional membership like Energy Institute (EI), IOSH.
- Relevant certifications in safety management and occupational health.
- 5 years of experience in SHE-Q within a COMAH Terminal Operations.
- Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations and ISO standards.
- Skills in risk assessment and implementation of corrective measures.
- Experience in developing and conducting safety training programs.
- Skills in conducting internal audits.
