Stokenchurch Dog Rescue is looking for a practical, experienced Digital/IT trustee to help ensure our existing IT systems are well maintained and continually strengthened, improve digital working, and support the charity’s long-term effectiveness. This is an opportunity to use your IT expertise to make a real difference to a cause that changes the lives of unwanted and abandoned dogs.

What you’ll bring:

  • Strong IT or digital experience with practical, hands-on capability.
  • The ability to identify improvements and support cost-effective digital solutions.
  • Knowledge of good IT governance, including data protection, cybersecurity and compliance.
  • Strategic advice to the Board on digital and IT matters.
  • Experience of supporting websites, reporting or system integration would be helpful.

As a trustee, you will help shape the charity’s strategic direction while also offering practical digital and IT support. You’ll work with the Board and wider team to improve systems, strengthen governance, and help the organisation operate efficiently and effectively. Please note Trustees are expected to:

  • Attend monthly evening Board meetings and our Annual General Meeting (AGM).
  • Participate in ad-hoc meetings, contribute proactively to projects and fundraising initiatives, and commit the necessary time and effort to fulfil your responsibilities as a trustee.
  • Collaborate with fellow trustees, staff, and volunteers to support the charity’s goals.
  • Subscribe to membership of the charity.
  • Visit the centre when required to stay connected with our operations and the dogs in our care.
