The MEP Engineer cum Quantity Surveyor supports the design, coordination and construction delivery process by combining technical engineering and cost management functions. The role is responsible for developing MEP designs, preparing quantity take-offs, supporting tender submissions and coordinating internal teams, consultants, vendors and contractors to ensure accurate, efficient and cost-effective project delivery. This position requires strong technical knowledge, analytical skills and the ability to manage both design and commercial aspects of MEP works.

Key Responsibilities
  • Draft electrical and mechanical designs using AutoCAD software for tender and project submissions.
  • Interpret client RFPs, tender requirements and authority regulations to develop compliant MEP designs, costing and submission documents.
  • Generate technical specification documents, installation guides and user manuals for tender and project requirements.
  • Identify, resolve and provide solutions for electrical and mechanical design, coordination and planning issues during design and tender stages.
  • Perform quantity take-off (BOQ) using CAD software based on finalized design layouts and drawings.
  • Assist in MEP tender design development based on client requirements and project specifications.
  • Prepare cost estimation, conduct vendor quotation comparison and compile vendor costing for tender submissions.
  • Prepare Operation & Maintenance Manuals (OMM) and support project close-out and landlord handover documentation.
  • Prepare shop drawings for construction works, support landlord Permit-To-Work (PTW) applications and produce as-built drawings upon project completion.
  • Prepare presentation materials and support tender submission presentation and coordination activities.
