Stoke-on-Trent City Music Service is dedicated to providing high quality music education for children and young people in Stoke-on-Trent. The service is looking for enthusiastic and committed teachers who would like to join the peripatetic teaching team. We are particularly interested in applications from teachers with experience in the following areas:

  • Whole Class Ensemble Teaching (First Access)
  • Curriculum music teachers

Casual teaching hours will be offered in response to cover work and demand from schools. Some evening/weekend work may be required and the ability to travel between schools is essential. Enhanced DBS checks will be undertaken as part of the recruitment process. Successful applicants will be invited to initially join our pool of teachers and will be offered work on a casual basis.

This position is exempt under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and the successful applicant will be subject to a criminal record check from the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS).
