Stoke-on-Trent City Council is seeking to appoint an experienced and driven property professional to join our dynamic Corporate Property Team as a Property Strategy Project Manager. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual who is passionate about strategic asset management and making a tangible difference within the community.

In this role:

  • You will be responsible for developing strategy related to the management of the Council's diverse property estate, ensuring that operational, commercial, and community assets are managed effectively and contribute positively to the Council's long-term objectives.
  • You will coordinate, monitor and support delivery of complex property and estates programmes, projects and other strategic property enabling workstreams.
  • You will manage and deliver projects, working closely with departmental and enabler leads and multiple stakeholders to plan, manage and drive achievement of target objectives.
  • You will use effective portfolio and programme/project management approaches to contribute to the development and implementation of the Council's corporate and service asset management plans and policies.
  • Your input will help ensure that these projects are delivered in a way that supports sustainable growth and meets the evolving needs of Stoke-on-Trent's residents.

About You:

  • HND or above qualification and/or extensive experience in programme/project management
  • Prince2 and/or other equivalent programme/project management qualification (or working towards such qualification)
  • Extensive knowledge of relevant Local Government legislation including procurement and finance
  • Significant project management experience working in a complex and challenging programme environment
  • Significant experience of delivering transformational savings programmes/projects management methodology throughout the lifecycle with a proven track record of planning, executing, controlling and closing projects
  • Experience of benefits, costs and resources planning and tracking
