Salary: £30,427 – £32,125 per annum, pro rata (Grade 3B) Part Time, 18.5 hours per week (12 hours teaching), 52.14 weeks per year. Permanent (0.5 FTE). We are looking for an experienced Lecturer in ESOL, who will join an established team that plans, implements, and delivers Adult ESOL programmes. This is a rewarding area of the College and you would play a key role in supporting our learners with their development and to help them progress onto higher courses or the workplace. The successful applicant should have experience of delivering ESOL in various settings from Pre-entry to Level 1 including community provision and working with learners with basic literacy needs. The ability to contribute to the development of innovative and exciting ESOL programmes which meet the needs of a wide range of learners is essential. You will preferably possess a degree or equivalent in English or a related subject area (or a Level 3 qualification plus proven successful experience of teaching English/Literacy/ESOL for at least 2 years) and will ideally possess an advanced level teaching qualification recognised by the FE sector (PGCE/DET or equivalent). You will have experience of teaching/tutoring, ESOL, EFL or literacy, and have the ability to engage and enthuse adult learners. This role will include some evening teaching on a regular basis.
