About the Role:

  • Deliver engaging and inspiring lessons to GCSE English re-sitters or lower ability learners, with a possible requirement to also deliver Functional Skills (FS) English classes.
  • Recognise and address barriers to learning while building positive relationships with students to unlock their potential.
  • Contribute to collaborative planning, resource development, and student monitoring.
  • Create a safe, positive, and motivating learning environment for students who may have faced perceived failures in English.

Key Requirements:

  • Qualified teacher status with experience teaching GCSE/ FS English.
  • A strong understanding of the challenges and barriers learners may face.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to foster positive relationships and maximize learner engagement and progress.
