These roles will play a vital part in supporting children, young people and families across Stoke-on-Trent.
The Role Stoke-on-Trent is progressing an ambitious transformation of Childrens Social Care through the Families First Partnership Programme (FFPP), strengthening the way services work together with children and families.
A key part of this transformation is the development of our Multi-Agency Child Protection Teams (MACPTs), bringing together expertise from Childrens Social Care, Police, Health and Education to provide a coordinated, timely and skilled response to children at risk of significant harm.
MACPTs will provide specialist child protection expertise, oversee statutory child protection activity and work closely with Family Help Teams, offering consultation, professional challenge and quality assurance.
As a Principal Manager, you will have an exciting opportunity to help shape, develop and embed this new way of working, providing strong operational and professional leadership and building effective relationships across the partnership.
You will support a culture of high support and high challenge, ensuring that decision-making is timely, evidence-informed and firmly centred on achieving the best outcomes for children and families.

- Experience of performance management, quality assurance, auditing and using data to drive continuous improvement.
- Highly developed leadership, coaching and reflective supervision skills, with the ability to support, challenge and develop staff.
- Excellent communication, influencing and partnership-working skills, including experience of chairing complex multi-agency meetings and making sound decisions under pressure.
