The Role

Stoke-on-Trent has a wealth of heritage assets, a legacy of its past industrial prominence; however, across the City too many of these valuable assets are either vacant or remain in poor condition. The City Council is determined to address the issue and has taken steps to announce a Heritage Emergency to highlight the need to preserve and secure the future of the City’s built Heritage. The Heritage Delivery Manager role will be central to the strategic approach in tackling this Heritage Emergency and will be instrumental in defining the City Councils’ approach and take the lead on the restoration of key heritage assets. Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and delivery of heritage projects
  • Manage complex multi-stakeholder projects
  • Assess and manage projects risks including preparing risk registers, management strategies and project plans
  • Manage and oversee smaller capital projects and business planning
  • Provide financial oversight to multiple capital projects, including cashflow, forecasting, lifetime budgeting, cost tracking and preparing all required reports for governance board

About You

  • Qualified to degree level (level 6) or equivalent within a relevant discipline
  • Understanding of public and private heritage assets
  • Knowledge of government strategy and policies including the legislative framework concerning historic environment and conservation regulations
