A unique opportunity has arisen to join one of the largest and most complex Coronial areas in England and Wales. Stoke-on-Trent and Staffordshire are looking for an exceptional candidate to join us as our Coroner Services Manager. The role plays a vital part in providing leadership and direction, ensuring the service strives for a culture of excellence to provide the very best standards for bereaved families in our area.
Responsibilities
- Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of coronial services and contribute to the future aims of the service.
- Leverage a strong track record of experience in a relevant role, excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to lead and motivate a team.
- Oversee management of the area mortuary, including working within a highly regulated environment, knowledge of relevant legislation and the role of the HTA.
- Handle contract management, financial planning, management of budgets and statutory compliance.
- Develop the team, plan for the future, develop policy, and oversee day-to-day running of the service.

- Excellent communication skills with the ability to form positive working relationships and engender confidence with a range of stakeholders.
