These are exciting times for Stoke-on-Trent - and the city council. Whether it's new businesses and homes or new bus routes and integrated travel - things are moving in Stoke-on-Trent.

Here at the council we are moving to a new model of delivery, working closely with partners to build a city that is healthier, wealthier, fairer, safer, greener, cleaner, and more skilled. And the way we communicate is changing, too.

We’re looking for a first-rate storyteller with a demonstrable ability to understand our audiences and find the right channels, and messages, to reach them. You will be as comfortable crafting digital communications as you are a press release. You will understand the importance of stakeholder relations and how to work together to ensure maximum reach and impact.

You will be brimming with ideas, with a proactive attitude towards communications and campaigns. Above all, you will be passionate about working in partnership - with the communications team, wider council colleagues, and partners across the city and county – to connect with all our communities as we tell Stoke-on-Trent’s story to them, and the wider world.

Please note that if an employee who is currently at risk of redundancy within the organisation applies for this vacancy their application will receive priority. If this happens you will be advised accordingly.
