The ability to organise contractors and 3rd party resources, organise planned works programmes is essential; and the passion to lead on operational delivery of the Asset Management Strategy and Energy Performance Strategy ensuring it delivers within a framework of efficiency and value for money. The council has demanding targets to meet in reducing carbon emissions and improving energy performance in our housing stock and other buildings. To do this we require accurate survey data and well managed performance data. We are required to share this data with regulatory bodies and be confident that it is right first time.

You have a good understanding around net-zero carbon emissions, and energy efficiency. You want to be an expert. You can coordinate the workload of a team of surveyors - ensuring their survey forms are uploaded ready for them to operate and accurate, clear, reliable data is gathered and downloaded. You will lead on reporting out the findings from this data - applying intelligence and analysing the outcomes to ensure we can target our maintenance investment in the right places at the right time. This work is the basis of our long-term investment strategy for property - and the solid foundations are crucial, so quality is key.

  • Prepare reports and statistical information using a variety of formats and media to provide analysis on energy performance and asset management performance to inform asset sustainability.
  • Use this complex data to maximize investment funding opportunities with a focus on attracting grant and other income.
  • Report on this data in support of the Councils obligations to the Regulator of Social Housing, the Building Safety Regulator, MHCLG and other key statutory bodies.

The environment can be fast moving and demanding, but the team is supportive and passionate. The council offers flexible working arrangements - well supported within this team, and a number of key benefits - including generous holidays and opportunities to develop through training.

This role requires strong analytical and data handling skills; enthusiasm and an ability to prioritise and organise a busy workload, for yourself and others.
