We are offering an exciting apprenticeship opportunity within our Children’s Social Care - Service Support team. This role is perfect for someone who is enthusiastic, organised and eager to learn in a fast-paced and meaningful environment. We’re seeking someone who is motivated, reliable and ready to learn.

Responsibilities

  • Carry out general clerical and administrative duties such as typing, data entry, filing, photocopying, and email management.
  • Act as a first point of contact for telephone enquiries or reception visitors, taking messages and directing queries.
  • Organise meetings and provide an accurate note taking service.
  • Work flexibly to support teams across Children’s Social Care.
  • Assist with financial transactions as required.
  • Complete all required apprenticeship training, including attending college and submitting coursework.
  • Follow all Council policies and procedures, including health and safety requirements.
  • Undertake any other duties appropriate to the role.

Qualifications

  • A good standard of education.
  • Strong communication skills – both written and verbal.
  • A ‘can do’ attitude and positive work ethic.
  • A willingness to learn and develop your skills and complete the apprenticeship.
  • An understanding of basic health and safety.
  • Confidence to fulfil all spoken and written aspects of the role in English.
