The Role

Are you an experienced project professional with a passion for delivering digital

transformation and organisational change? Do you thrive in a fast-paced environment where you can make a real difference to services and communities?

Stoke-on-Trent City Council is seeking a motivated and proactive Project Manager (Digital and Change) to help deliver an ambitious programme of digital transformation. Working within our Transformation and Programme Management Team, you will lead the implementation of digital systems and major change initiatives that improve services, modernise ways of working and support the Council's strategic priorities.

You will be responsible for managing projects from initiation through to delivery, developing project plans, managing risks and resources, engaging stakeholders, tracking benefits and ensuring successful implementation of change across the organisation.

We're looking for someone with: Significant project management experience within a complex organisation. Experience of delivering transformation, digital or change projects. Knowledge of project management methodologies such as PRINCE2. Excellent stakeholder engagement, communication and problem-solving skills. The ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results in a fast-moving environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and deliver digital, transformation and change projects from initiation through to completion
  • Develop and manage project plans, risks, issues, budgets and resources
  • Coordinate the implementation of new systems and major business change initiatives
  • Build strong relationships with senior stakeholders, service manager and external partners
  • Monitor projects progress, track benefits and provide high quality reports and updates
  • About You:

  • Significant experience managing projects within a complex organisational environment
  • Experience delivering digital, transformation, service improvement or organisational change projects
  • Knowledge of project management methodologies such as Prince2 or equivalent
  • Excellent stakeholder management, communication and influencing skills
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Be proactive, solution focused and able to work independently whilst maintaining attention to detail
