Role Overview
Fleet Operations & Compliance is seeking to appoint a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to join our unique and dynamic team of highly motivated professionals who work collaboratively to ensure the operations comply with legislative requirements.
The department works to tight timescales and often statutory deadlines and therefore experience of working within a highly pressured responsive service is a must.
The department plays an integral part of the Council’s fleet operations ensuring legal compliance in all areas.
This is an essential function to support the Council in providing the services to the residents of the city.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage vehicle repairs covering engines, transmission, braking systems, suspension and basic vehicle electrics.
- Work across a wide variety of vehicles and plant.
- Ensure timely completion of work to meet statutory deadlines.
- Adhere to legislative and safety requirements across fleet operations.
Qualifications & Experience
- Qualified MOT tester and vehicle mechanic OR significant experience in major vehicle repair elements.
- Experience in a highly pressured responsive service environment.
