Overview

We\\\’re seeking a bold, insightful, and emotionally resilient Adult Safeguarding Team Manager to lead our safeguarding service across Stoke-on-Trent and Staffordshire.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage a high-performing team delivering statutory safeguarding duties under the Care Act 2014, including Section 42 enquiries.
  • Champion public protection through active involvement in MAPPA, Channel Panel, and multi-agency safeguarding arrangements.
  • Work closely with the Stoke-on-Trent & Staffordshire Safeguarding Adults Board, contributing to strategic planning, audits, and learning reviews.
  • Interpret and present safeguarding data using Power BI and other tools to inform decision-making and service improvement.
  • Navigate complex safeguarding cases with emotional resilience, clarity, and compassion.

Qualifications & Experience

  • You will be a qualified social worker with proven leadership in adult safeguarding.
  • In-depth knowledge of safeguarding legislation, including the Care Act, Mental Capacity Act, and associated statutory guidance.
  • Experience working within multi-agency frameworks including MAPPA and Prevent (Channel).
  • Strong analytical skills and confidence in interpreting data to drive performance and quality.
  • Emotional resilience and the ability to lead through complexity, challenge, and change.
