Stoke City Foundation, the official charitable arm of Stoke City Football Club, is seeking a Fundraising and Events Manager. As a proud member of the English Football League, the Club's Foundation is dedicated to transforming lives and strengthening communities across Stoke-on-Trent and Staffordshire. This pivotal role, based at the bet365 Stadium and other facilities as required, will be key in shaping the future of our community programmes.

Reporting to the Director of Community Engagement, you will play a key role in generating sustainable income and supporting the delivery of impactful community programmes. You will lead the development and delivery of a high-impact fundraising and events programme, building strong partnerships, delivering engaging campaigns, and creating memorable events that inspire supporters and stakeholders.

The successful candidate will play a vital role in enabling the Foundation to expand its work across health, education, and community initiatives, helping to make a meaningful difference across Stoke-on-Trent and the surrounding areas.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Leading and delivering a multi-year fundraising and events strategy, driving sustainable income growth.
  • Developing and growing income across corporate partnerships, grants, individual giving, and community fundraising.
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with donors, sponsors, and key partners, including working closely with Stoke City Football Club.
  • Overseeing the designing and delivery of engaging fundraising campaigns and a diverse programme of events.
  • Ensuring high quality supporter journeys that drive engagement, retention, and long-term value.
  • Managing and supporting the Fundraising and Events Officer, fostering a high performing and collaborative team culture.
  • Using data and insights to monitor performance, evaluate return on investment, and inform future planning.
  • Identifying and implementing innovative fundraising approaches, including digital and community led initiatives.
  • Ensuring all activity is delivered in line with compliance, governance, safeguarding, and organisational policies.
Key Skills, Experience and Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in fundraising, partnerships, or income generation, ideally within the charity, sport, or not-for-profit sector.
  • Demonstrable track record of securing and growing income from a range of sources.
  • Experience of developing and delivering successful campaigns and/or events.
  • Strong relationship building and stakeholder management skills.
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills.
  • Strong organisational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Commercial awareness and the ability to identify and maximise income opportunities.
  • Ability to analyse data and use insight to inform decision-making.
  • Experience of line management or leading others is desirable.
