Stoke City Football Club of the English Football League is seeking enthusiastic individuals to join our team of Academy Safety Stewards to support training and matchday operations at the Clayton Wood Training Ground and the Academy Dome. As an Academy Safety Steward, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and security of all attendees including parents, staff, players and guests, while providing them with an enjoyable experience. You will have the opportunity to develop your operational knowledge of Clayton Wood and the Academy Dome through a comprehensive induction process, gaining the necessary skills to enhance the overall experience for our guests.
Main Responsibilities
- Delivering excellent customer service and ensuring a positive experience for all attendees.
- Upholding safety protocols and procedures during training sessions and matches.
- Assisting with crowd control and maintaining a safe environment.
- Monitoring areas for hazards and reporting them appropriately.
- Engaging with parents, staff and players to provide information and support.
- Adapting to various roles as needed across different settings.

- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
- Proven ability to manage challenging situations with composure and professionalism.

The successful candidates will be required to work evenings and weekends to cover Academy matchday fixtures and training sessions. All relevant training will be provided including working towards NVQ Level 2 in Spectator Safety. Positions will be offered on a casual and intermittent basis.
