Stoke City Football Club is looking for a highly motivated and enthusiastic Physiotherapist to support the First Team Medical operations at our state of the art Training Ground facility.

Working with our outstanding medical team you will deliver best in class injury prevention and rehabilitation strategies as well as providing accurate assessment and diagnosis to support the delivery of optimal evidence based care.

This is an excellent opportunity to positively impact our performance support MDT by contributing to the continued development of our processes, bringing your quality, energy and drive to support a consistently elite level of athletic performance.

Main Responsibilities

  • Leading and delivering structured rehabilitation to our First Team Players.
  • Collaborating within the MDT to deliver a comprehensive rehabilitation programme and holistic approach to maximise performance and mitigate injury risk.
  • Providing cover for training, matchdays and emergency medical care as required.
  • Maintaining clinical records in accordance with governing body requirements.
  • Delivering an expert level of manual handling and soft tissue therapy for all players.
  • Setting and maintaining high standards in line with the Club’s medical code of conduct.
  • Upholding relationships with strong communication links to loan clubs and loanee players.

Key Skills, Experiences and Qualification

  • BSc / MSc Physiotherapy degree.
  • CSP / HCPC Registered.
  • ATMMiF qualification or equivalent.
  • Experience working with elite athletes.
  • Proficient in Microsoft 365. Power BI familiarity beneficial.
  • Full, clean driving licence is desirable.

A high degree of flexibility is essential including availability for evening and weekend matchday fixtures, and other events at the bet365 Stadium and Clayton Wood Training Ground.

The position will be offered on a full time and permanent basis.
