Stoke City Foundation, the official charitable arm of Stoke City Football Club, is recruiting a number of Apprentices to support the fantastic work we do within our local communities. We are looking for enthusiastic and dynamic individuals to join a progressive organisation dedicated to having a positive impact on the lives of children and adults across Staffordshire and South Cheshire.

The ideal candidates will have a passion for physical activity, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to engage and inspire young people. The apprentice will require excellent teamwork, collaboration and organisational skills for planning and delivering sessions as well as the ability to adapt to working in various community settings.

If you feel you meet the required criteria and are looking to progress within an exciting, rewarding and fast-paced environment then we have two excellent apprenticeships for you to consider.

  • Level 2 Community Activator Apprenticeship
    This apprenticeship is aimed at entry level coaches and is ideal for those looking to start their career in sports coaching and education while gaining valuable experience in schools and community settings. This 12 month apprenticeship will include:
    • Gaining a variety of sport and education related qualifications.
    • Developing skills and competencies to help deliver a variety of school based education and sport sessions.
    • Developing planning, administration and evaluation skills.
    • Building confidence in working as an individual and as part of a team while representing a major local brand.
  • Level 3 Community Sports and Health Officer Apprenticeship
    This apprenticeship is ideal for those looking to develop their skills in community engagement, youth work and health and wellbeing while gaining valuable experience on a variety of programmes such as Premier League Kicks, Premier League Inspires and Active Through Football. The 18 month apprenticeship will include:
    • Gaining a variety of sports and youth work related qualifications.
    • Developing skills and competencies to help deliver a variety of community engagement sessions.
    • Developing planning, administration and evaluation skills.
    • Building confidence in working as an individual and a team in representing a major local brand.

These positions are full time and would require the successful applicants to be available to work evenings and weekends.
