An exciting opportunity has arisen at Stoke City Football Club of the English Football League, for an Academy Goalkeeping Coach to support its football operations at our Category One status Academy at Clayton Wood Training Ground and various development centre locations.
Reporting to the Head of Academy Coaching you will play a crucial role in supporting and developing young goalkeepers. You will be responsible for the implementation of goalkeeping philosophy and structure for the all Academy goalkeepers.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for planning and delivering coaching sessions to Academy players, demonstrating a commitment to helping future talents reach their highest potential.
Main Responsibilities
- Planning, delivering and evaluating all coaching activities.
- Reviewing and recommending changes to the coaching curriculum.
- Providing reports to the Head of Academy Coaching.
- Monitoring and analysing player’s performance.
- Meeting with Lead Phase Coaches to discuss progress of players.
- Developing players through coaching and evaluation.
Key Skills, Experiences and Qualifications
- Football background either as a player or coach.
- UEFA B Goalkeeping and Outfield UEFA B qualifications in Coaching in addition to FA Advanced Youth Award.
- Knowledge and understanding of elite level requirements.
- Ability to manage a multi-disciplinary team of staff.
- Experience of working in an Academy or Centre of Excellence.
- Excellent planning and communication skills.
- Basic First Aid Qualification would be desirable.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate a high degree of flexibility to cover evenings and weekends work as required.
The position will be offered on a full time permanent basis. All relevant training will be provided.
