An opportunity has arisen at Stoke City Football Club of the English Football League for the position of Academy and Development Centre Coach to support its Football operations at our Training Ground Facility at Clayton Wood in Trent Vale.

As part of our coaching team, you will collaborate with experienced professionals and engage with motivated young players eager to enhance their skills. Your expertise will help foster a focused environment that encourages growth both on and off the pitch, preparing players for the challenges they will face in their football careers.
Main Responsibilities
- Supporting the full time coaching staff across U9-16 coaches within the Academy and Development Centres.
- Coaching players within the specified age range, focusing primarily on a designated age group.
- Delivering the Club’s coaching programme effectively and consistently.
- Collaborating with the Coaching department to enhance the development of young players.
- Working within a multi-disciplinary team to create the best programme for player progression through the Academy system.
- Monitoring and assessing player development, providing feedback and support as needed.
- Fostering a positive and engaging training environment that encourages player growth and teamwork.
Key Skills, Experience and Qualifications
- Football background either as a player or coach.
- Minimum of the UEFA B Licence and Youth Module 3 (Academy Coach) or Level 2 (Development Centre Coach).
- Experience of coaching in Academy Football or Development Centres.
- Experience of working in a multi-disciplinary team.
- Ability to support in the implementation of a players development plan and assist in recording evidence and provide reports and feedback to players and colleagues.
- Ability to plan, work independently and meet deadlines.
- A knowledge of the requirements of elite football.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate a high degree of flexibility to cover evenings and weekends work as required. The position will be offered on a casual and intermittent basis.
