We are STOIX, a small, ambitious, B Corp-certified executive search firm placing CFOs and senior finance leaders into PLC, PE-backed, VC-backed, and founder-led businesses. We do rigorous work and we care about doing the basics brilliantly.
This role sits at the centre of the business. You will work directly with the founders across search delivery, business development, and internal operations. You will use AI every day; we are heavy users of Claude. You will draft communications, prepare briefing packs, and cut out repetitive admin. You will be a trusted point of contact for senior clients and candidates. How we show up in every interaction matters.
The non-negotiables:
- Insatiably curious. You read widely, ask better questions than most, and go three levels deeper than anyone expects.
- High agency and proactivity. You identify what needs doing and you do it. You do not wait.
- You have hustled. Worked in a bar, a restaurant, retail, on a market stall, or any job that required you to show up, work hard, and earn it. That experience is not a nice-to-have; it is a prerequisite.
- Played sport to a high standard. You know what competition feels like and what winning requires.
- 1 to 2 years in B2B professional services (consulting, finance, law, advisory, or similar), with some start-up or early-stage exposure.
- A clear, confident writer. You know how to draft a precise email and keep things concise.
- Reliable with the basics. You close loops, hit deadlines, and do not drop balls.
- Right to work in the UK.
Our values:
- We put People First. Clients, candidates, and colleagues are humans, not transactions.
- We own the Outcome. Responsibility for results, not just activity.
- We commit to Growth. Always looking to improve.
- We communicate with Clarity. Honest, proactive, and direct.
What you get:
- Direct access to the founders from day one.
- Real ownership and scope to shape how the role evolves.
- A front-row seat to the CFO and private equity market.
- A high-performance culture without the ego.
Salary: £28,000 to £38,000 depending on experience, with a performance bonus as you grow. Farringdon, London. Hybrid, office-first.
To apply: send a CV and a short video note to tell us why STOIX, what demonstrates your curiosity and agency, and what you did before or alongside your studies that showed you were willing to work for it.
